Saturday Night

Lauren and I spent Saturday evening in the fashionable district of Soho. After a hearty mexican meal that included 2 for 1 margaritas at miniature Chiptole clone of a restaurant we strolled over to the Coach And Horses pub. There we shared drinks with folks from Reddit. A couple of the guys we met were North American and so we shared our experiences adjusting to the island. As fresh arrivals, they were ecstatic to find out you don't tip at bars and pubs.

Last weekend a friend of mine from college was in town for the weekend on business. It was nice to catch up and hang out with a fellow American. It was also interesting to observe his behavior as it was remarkably different from mine - i've done my best to blend in as best as possible and not appear as an outsider. 

Finally, I learned that "pub" is short for public house.
